On the occasion of the April 25 Scotchattori , in collaboration with the ' Fanteatro cultural association, proposed a show about Resistance:
IDEA TO HAVE SERVED
LETTERS OF SENTENCED TO DEATH OF RESISTANCE
LETTERS OF SENTENCED TO DEATH OF RESISTANCE
What does it mean, today, more than sixty years by those events, to recall the resistance? How can I honor the period historian who has allowed Italy to free themselves from fascism and lay the foundations for democratic living without being too pedantic or trivial or who have a celebration for its own sake?
First, by listening. The distance that separates us from those events so far and the remoteness of the individual from history can be undone by the simultaneity of the theater, the power of speech: three young performers, plus a guitarist, give their body and their voice to speak the Resistance who has made himself, and left a living witness of those moments.
is why we see 3 actors, including some stage movements, can identify sentenced to death in the Italian Resistance, reading and interpreting the letters written by them , accompanied by background music and real partisan songs performed by a guitarist.
Through these letters we discover the human face of war of liberation : to make history in those years, have been men and women, boys and girls in the flesh, like us, in the banality of some letters, which thought, in the extreme greeting goes to the mother, children, engaged couples, we find the closeness of the partisan us, they reveal their character through the universality of human pain and death.
But this also allows us to better understand what is meant, for these many people, choose to stand against the Nazi-Fascist barbarity, to fight for the welfare of his country : these men have decided to leave everything, to abandon the affections more private, to serve an idea, convinced that only with the 'first-person action things could really change and you could open a new era, free and happy.
These people have chosen, because they are deployed, as Gramsci reminds us, " who lives really can not be a citizen and partisan ", have put their dreams, their faith, their ideals, first of all, and have decided to fight to achieve them, going to the extreme conclusions. Women and men whose voice echoes in reading these letters, they died for this: idea of \u200b\u200bhaving served.
